 Our Clinical Fellowship program has helped hundreds of new grads become licensed Speech Language Pathologists!  


Key Details:

  • Duration: Minimum 36 weeks, full-time (or part-time equivalent)
  • Hours: 1,260 clinical hours required
  • Supervision: you will be Mentored by highly experienced ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist
  • weekly meetings with owner/director and other clinical fellows

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and feeding disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Diagnoses may include autism spectrum disorder, delays in receptive and/or expressive language, articulation, feeding, stuttering, motor speech, Down syndrome
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress
  • Participate in regular mentorship sessions and evaluations

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Compassion and dedication to patient care
  • TSSLD a plus

Special Instructor Opportunities

 

Westchester Speech & Language Services PLLC,  is seeking strong candidates to provide special instruction services to children in Westchester County’s Early Intervention program in home and daycare settings. We offer caseload flexibility and diversity and are dedicated to the highest clinical standard.

The Special Instructor (SI) will support the social, emotional and cognitive development of 0-3 year old children who have been identified with a developmental delay or diagnosed with a physical or mental condition that has a high probability of developmental delay in accordance with Individualized Family Service Plan outcomes.

The following qualifications are required:

  • Excellent oral communication and writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, with strong work ethic
  • TSHH/TSSLD or NYS Special Education teacher certification, students with disabilities birth to grade 2

Responsibilities:

  • Provide special instruction to children 0-3 years old in home and community settings, provide parent counseling and guidance
  • Create and manage daily schedule of clients
  • Assess clients’ needs, develop treatment plans and document progress
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Identify other potential areas of need and make referrals to other professionals
